After setting a model pattern for stores, when creating new gift codes, the pattern will be automatically filled in the Code Pattern field. Shop admins can try to create a new gift code after configuring a general pattern by visiting Admin Panel > Mageplaza > Gift Card > Gift Card Code and then selecting Gift Card information. Here users do not need to fill in Code Pattern as it is updated from general configuration. All they need to do is completing other field boxes to finish making a new gift code for customers.
Frontend display
Depending on the Gift Code Pattern which is decided by store owners, customers will receive the codes parallelly with the model pattern. In other words, customers can make no changes to their gift codes as it is totally up to admins’ intentions. For example, if customers get a gift code like following PRVV-MSCD-1781, it means that the code pattern of that store is [4A]-[4A]-[4N].
Besides, when buyers visit main website store to take a look at their gift cards, they can find all their gift codes in My Gift Card > My Saved Gift Cards. Here is where each gift code is recorded in details including balance, status, and expired date to help cards’ owners keep track of their spending easily. Especially, each code has some hidden parts that require consumers to click on if they they want to see the entire code.
Although buyers have no right to change their gift codes, model patterns created by shop admins increase the level of privacy for each gift code.
